Mung Bean Soybean Soup Paste / Soymilk
A balanced, mildly sweet drink with a cooling nature. Packed with plant protein.
Ingredients
Mung Bean, Soybean, Red Dates, Goji Berry & Millet.
Health Benefit
Clears summer heat, detoxifies the body, and protects the liver. The mung bean cools, while red dates and goji balance it out—making it gentle on the stomach.
Precaution
- Not for people who is allergic to Soy.
- Avoid during menstruation & pregnancy. Mung bean is relatively cold and cool in nature and can stimulate the uterus, so pregnant women should avoid it.
Method
Boil & Blend
1. Rinse all the ingredients.
2. Place all ingredients into a pot and add 800ml of water.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce on low heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Transfer everything to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy. Beware! Its hot.
5. Stir in sugar or honey to taste. Add a splash of milk / soy / oat / coconut milk for a richer flavour. (optional)
Soymilk Maker
1. Rinse all the ingredients.
2. Place all ingredients into a soymilk maker and add 600ml – 700ml of water.
3. Select the “soy milk” setting and cook for 25 – 30 minutes.
4. Stir in rock sugar or honey to taste. Add a splash of milk / soy / oat / coconut milk for a richer flavour. (optional)
Tips
· Serve Hot : Soothing stomach, cooler days.
· Serve Chilled : Refreshment, hot summer days.
· Adjust the water amount to your liking – use less for a thicker, richer drink, or more for a lighter version.
· Rock sugar : Swap with brown sugar or honey or or omit entirely. Sweetness is totally adjustable!
· Diabetes or blood sugar control : Use stevia/monk fruit instead of rock sugar, or omit entirely.
