Classic Four Herb Soup / Si Shen Tang (四神汤), is a well-known Chinese medicinal food therapy that builds a strong foundation for overall health by starting with supporting the digestive health. It primarily addresses issues caused by spleen deficiency with dampness retention.
This gentle yet powerful Spleen-Kidney-Qi tonic resolves Dampness by strengthening the Spleen’s transforming and transporting functions. In TCM, the Spleen converts food into nutrients and fluids and transports them to generate Qi. When Spleen Qi is weak, Dampness accumulates, often causing digestive dysfunction and leading to various digestive issues.
It combines four harmonious ingredients that work together to focus on restoring the body’s ability to absorb nutrients by strengthening the Spleen, support kidney health, making it suitable for children and the elderly with weak digestion.
As a classic, mild TCM formula and food therapy, Classic Four Herb Soup is gentle enough for most people to consume regularly.
